Thanks on the boy! :-) :-) :-)Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439582294571462742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29122639.post-14401469855959134972013-01-03T02:55:02.868-06:002013-01-03T02:55:02.868-06:00Re the Swiss army knives. Unless they get an opportunity, they'll never learn to whittle etc. We have an old South African teacher at the school who runs an Outdoor Ed Camp. He teaches the kids to whittle, make homemade torches, make their own knives and forks etc...they LOVE it! I'm not sure the knives were a flop simply because they cut their fingers :-) I mean, they didn't cut them OFF did they?? :-D Meanwhile, Happy Birthday to your 'drop dead gorgeous' boy!Arizaphalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11402602175460446158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29122639.post-42655390104205265992013-01-01T16:06:17.394-06:002013-01-01T16:06:17.394-06:00Yeah, Beth, I also gave them flash drives which we...Yeah, Beth, I also gave them flash drives which went through the wash in various pants pockets. I think my gifts were good intentioned, but ultimately kind of a flop.

Mark - Try not to cut yourself up with your new pocket knife! It makes the gift giver feel very guilty.Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439582294571462742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29122639.post-8061428801571701502012-12-31T09:19:19.506-06:002012-12-31T09:19:19.506-06:00I got a pocket knife as a gift too!I got a pocket knife as a gift too!MarkD60https://www.blogger.com/profile/04081737467851406387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29122639.post-32029275346978300392012-12-30T10:02:28.436-06:002012-12-30T10:02:28.436-06:00Gregg wanted me to get my nephew a Swiss Army knif...Gregg wanted me to get my nephew a Swiss Army knife but I didn't. Gregg has such fond memories from boy scouts of using those knives for so many things, I explained to him that kids these days don't whittle and go out in nature and don't care about the knives. Reading this, I am glad I chose to ignore his suggestion!Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06976102470658767876noreply@blogger.com
